Located 48 miles southwest of Belize City. In addition to being the capital of the country, it home to many interesting tourist spots. Known as the "Garden City", Belmopan offers a wide variety of colorful vegetation and flowering trees. Go hiking on one of many nature trails in Guanacaste National Park, explore St. Herman's cave or take a swim at the Inland Blue Hole.
